Habitat home applications being accepted
Habitat for Humanity of Wood County Ohio, Inc. announces the open pre-application period for a three
bedroom/new home construction in Rossford. Construction will begin in August.
Pre-applications are open now through June 13.

Reminder: Share road with motorcyclists
Wood County Safe Communities is reminding drivers to safely "share the road" with
motorcyclists.
May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.
The organization notes that motorcyclists have all the same rights and privileges as any motor vehicle
driven on the roadway.
According to Wood County Safe Communities, use of ODOT-compliant motorcycle helmets remained at 60
percent in 2013, unchanged from 2012.
The group also noted there have been five total fatal crashes in Wood County to date this year, compared
to four over the same period in 2013.
