Body believed to be that of missing boater
PORT CLINTON (AP) – Authorities in Northwest Ohio say a body found on a beach is believed to be one of
two men missing since their boat capsized in western Lake Erie about three weeks ago.
The Ottawa County sheriff indicated that the man’s body would be taken to the coroner’s office to be
identified.
He says an area resident spotted the body Tuesday on a Carroll Township beach, near the region where four
boaters set out on April 16. Their capsized boat was found the next morning, and the bodies of a teenage
girl and a 33-year-old woman were recovered later that day.
Two men, both in their 30s, have remained missing and were believed to have drowned.
