Weston man found after brief search
WESTON – A man with Alzheimer’s reported missing in the area of the village was located Tuesday
afternoon.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office issued an advisory just before 2 p.m. that the 73-year-old man,
described as an Alzheimer’s patient, was missing.
A second message, issued at 2:10 p.m., indicated that he had been found.
Car vandalisms hit odd note
Some out-of-the ordinary incidents involving vehicles were reported in the city Monday.
In the 400 block of East Napoleon Road, a woman reported that a fire extinguisher had been taken from an
apartment complex and sprayed inside of her unlocked vehicle.
There was no monetary damage to the vehicle.
In the 100 block of Liberty Avenue, a man told police that he came out of his residence to find that a
couch had been placed on top of his jeep.
There was no damage to the vehicle.
Reserve canoes for Fun Day
PEMBERVILLE – Our Place is hosting a Family Fun Day at Harrison Park on May 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
People are encouraged to reserve canoes before Thursday.
Food and games as well as a 50/50 raffle are part of the day’s scheduled events.
Proceeds will go to The Daughter Project to help survivors recover from sex trafficking.

The Wood County Dulcimers will meet Thursday at Village View Church of Christ Thursday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. Beginners are welcome.
The church is located at 801 W. Poe Road.
Cemetery meeting moved
WESTON – The Weston Township Cemetery meeting has been changed from Thursday to May 8 at 6 p.m. in the
Weston Village Hall.
