Fostoria market starts Saturday
The first Fostoria Farmers’ Market of 2014 will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 at the Downtown
KeyBank at 133 W. Tiffin St.
The theme is "Celebrate Moms," and includes many vendors who will offer gifts suitable for Moms
of all ages.
Flowers, plants and silk flower arrangements will be available from the Fostoria Garden club. Conine’s
Country Market and Joseph’s Greenhouse will also offer veggies and plants.
Two trapped in elevator due to power outage
Two women were reportedly stuck in an elevator as the result of a Thursday power outage.
Bowling Green fire personnel were called to 541 W. Wooster St., the former Wood County Health Department
Building after the women became stuck in the elevator near the fourth floor around 9:10 a.m.
The outage was caused by the city’s utility department doing work in the area, according to the incident
report.
Power was restored prior to fire personnel extricating the victims. The report indicated that, upon fire
personnel descending the stairs, the individuals had apparently already exited the elevator.
