Hamfest set for Sunday at Owens
The Toledo Mobile Radio association will hold its annual Hamfest and Computer Fair Sunday from 8 a.m. to
2 p.m. at Owens Community College on Oregon Road.
New and used electronics, computers, software and various parts will be on sale from 80 vendors at the
all-indoor event.
Tickets are $6 per person with children 12 and under admitted free. Parking is free.
Proceeds benefit T.M.R.A.’s emergency communication projects.
Klotz Road burglary reported
A burglary was reported on Klotz Road Tuesday.
Bowling Green Police said the incident was discovered at 3:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Klotz Road.
Money and other items were reported missing.
Additional details were not available this morning.
Three trustees earn ‘degrees’ from academy
The Ohio Township Association awarded 14 Leadership Academy graduates with diplomas at this year’s annual
Winter Conference.
Graduates from Wood County included Melanie Bowen of Lake Township, Shirley Haar of Perrysburg Township,
and Jim Rossow of Plain Township.
The Leadership Academy was created in 2003 to provide education to elected officials, township staff,
employees and appointed individuals. The program offers courses designed to enhance the leadership and
decision making skills of those involved in Ohio township government.
