Latta responds to Obama’s speech

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, delivered the following statement after
listening to President Obama’s State of the Union address:
"Tonight, the President had an opportunity to address the American people about the state of our
union," Latta said. "I had hoped that he would use this time to take responsibility for the
failures of Obamacare and provide a vision for how we can create jobs and get this economy back on
track. Instead, we heard the same rhetoric and empty promises to which we’ve grown accustomed."
"The American people want real solutions. The tax and spend policies of the Obama Administration are
not helping turn our economy around. Our small businesses – not the federal government – are this
country’s engine of job growth. We must remove unnecessary regulations, eliminate wasteful spending and
invest in industries that will grow our economy and create jobs, so we can get the American people back
to work."
