Findlay teen dies after crash with deer

FINDLAY – A Findlay teen died Wednesday night after the Jeep he was driving struck a deer just south of
the city.
Nathan McKee, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 8:57 p.m. McKee was driving a 2004 Jeep Wrangler
southbound on Township Road 67, near Township Road 80, when the vehicle struck a deer.
McKee reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which went off the left side of the road and rolled into a
field.
Both McKee and his passenger, Leon Lopez, 17, Findlay, were wearing seatbelts; however, McKee was ejected
from the vehicle. Leon was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
