The Wood County Sheriff’s office cited a Toledo man following an unusual accident at 10:50 a.m. Thursday
on Ohio 582 at Interstate 75.
Christopher S. Haley, 30, was working in a construction zone and picking up traffic cones on the
overpass.
He was driving a 2008 GMC pick-up owned by the construction firm. He exited his vehicle and
unintentionally put the truck in reverse rather than park.
The truck moved back approximately three feet striking a 2002 Ford pick-up pulling a car hauler trailer
with a vehicle loaded.
The second truck, driven by Bruce Wolfe, 49, of Milford, Michigan, was stopped behind the construction
truck.
Both vehicles were damaged. The construction truck is owned by Area Wide Protective Inc. of Oak Harbor.

Haley was cited for improper starting and backing. There were no injuries.
