Break up winter's monotony with the return of the Chili Walk at the Wintergarden/St. John's Nature Preserve and Rotary Nature Center.
Bring a friend or the whole family to hike the trails and eat some chili March 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is being sponsored by the Bowling Green Department of Parks and Recreation, Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Foundation and Stimmel's Market.
Enjoy a walk and then a bowl of red chili, white chili, vegetarian chili and cornbread.
Wash it all down with coffee, tea and hot chocolate and enjoy s'mores by the fire.
Those attending will have an opportunity to look over the plans for the renovations for the Nature Center and find out how they can help the fund raising efforts of the foundation.
No reservations are required. Donations collected will be added to the funds already raised for the renovations.
