Most Wanted reunites for BGHS reunion

When the Bowling Green Class of 1989 gets together this weekend they will be treated to a musical reunion
as well.
Working with the reunion’s planning committee, Alex DePue has brought together the country-rock band Most
Wanted after a 17-year hiatus. Most Wanted will perform Friday at 10 p.m. at Nate and Wally’s Fishbowl,
149 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green.
DePue said the band has rehearsed for the past several weeks, so it is ready to deliver a fine-tuned set
including some of the band’s popular numbers including "The Devil Went Down to Georgia,"
Alabama’s "Mountain Music," the instrumental "The Theme from ‘The Pink Panther" and
rock anthems such as "Keep Your Hands to Yourself."
DePue said while the old favorites will be well represented he also will be "introducing a whole new
bag of tricks for this show."
The band will include the band’s original drummer and technician Jeff Ryers, Rob Carr on bass and vocals,
and DePue on fiddle and vocals joined by Eric Schatte on guitar.
In the intervening years DePue, a repeat fiddle contest champion, has toured the world with rock guitar
legend Steve Vai and country artist Chris Cagle. Now based in southern California he’s continued to
perform with his brothers – Wallace, Jason and Zachary, and in a duo with Mexican guitarist Miguel De
Hoyos.
Carr now performs with his band, Tripper, including appearing at DTE Energy Music Theater. Ryers plays
with various bands in the Flint area.
DePue said the idea for the reunion was hatched two years ago.
"We found ourselves in each other’s company for an informal jam session, and thus, the idea for
reassembling the band was born. Playing together after twelve years of performing professionally was
much like hopping on the old bicycle! It’s as if we had never stopped. All we needed was a reason to
perform again"
He said he was pleased when the 1989 class reunion provided "us with the opportunity to make this
happen."
