PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT Request
for
Qualifications (RFQ) City of
Rossford
Engineering Services (City Engineer) The City of
Rossford, Wood County, Ohio intends to contract
engineering services from a qualified engineering firm to provide a
variety of engineering services in the role of City Engineer on as
needed basis as required by the City.
Engineering services desired
include, but are not limited to, the review of private development site
plans, detailed studies on specific infrastructure subjects;
investigations and reports, identification and assistance on grants, and
assistance in ensuring compliance with the Ohio Environmental
Protection Agency’s (OEPA) NPDES permit for storm water and like
services needed by the City of Rossford to fulfill its municipal
obligations.
A more detailed descriptions of the services sought are
available in the Office of the City Administrator.
Firms interested
in being considered to provide the required services should reply with a
statement of qualifications no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on
January 30, 2014. Statements received after this deadline will not be
considered.
Statements of qualifications should include information
regarding the firms’ history; education and experience of owners and
key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm’s current
staff; the firm’s experience in performing engineering studies, design
construction administration and construction observation; availability
of staff; the firm’s equipment and facilities; references; and any
previous work performed for the City of Rossford.
Statements of
qualification should be transmitted to: Edward J. Ciecka, City
Administrator, 133 Osborn St., Rossford, Ohio 43460.
As required by
Ohio Revised Code, Section 153.65 – 73, responding firms will be
evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications.
Following this
evaluation, the City of Rossford will enter into contract negotiations
with the most highly qualified firm.
Anticipated start date is March
1, 2014.
The firm selected will be required to refrain from performing
engineering services that will place the firm in a conflict with the
role of City Engineer for the City of Rossford.
All qualifications
will be evaluated on the basis most advantageous to the City of Rossford
with final selection by Rossford City Council.
The City of Rossford
reserves the right to reject any or all of the qualifications submitted
and to waive any irregularities in submission of statements of
Qualifications.
All statements properly submitted will receive
equal consideration.
The selected person/firm will be designated
without regard to race, color, religion, nation origin, age or sex.
The issuance of this public announcement in no way constitutes any
commitment by the City of Rossford to enter into any professional
contracts or to pay for any costs incurred in preparation of a response
