Prep Roundup: Perrysburg boys win; BGHS boys and girls lose (01-19-14)

Perrysburg’s boys posted a 67-43 win over Toledo Waite, while Bowling Green’s boys fell 67-48 to Elida
and Bobcat girls lost 50-36 to Toledo Whitmer Saturday night.
In other boys games, it was: Gibsonburg 67, Elmwood 41; Genoa 82, Northwood 20; Maumee 64, Otsego 61; and
Lakota 51, Danbury 45.
In other girls games, it was: Toledo Central Catholic 50, Perrysburg 49 in overtime; Delta 47, Otsego 45;
Arcadia 52, North Baltimore 32.

BOYS
Elida 67, BGHS 48
In Elida, Lamontá Stone hit six 3-pointers and totaled 23 points in the Bobcats’ loss.
BGHS is 2-11.
Perrysburg 67, Waite 43
In Toledo, Nate Patterson led Perrysburg with 16 points while Nick Moschetti and Matt Kaczinski added 15
and 13 points, respectively.
Matt Mesker scored 11 points or the Yellow Jackets, 12-1 overall.
Gibsonburg 67, Elmwood 41
In Jerry City, Gibsonburg took a 37-18 halftime lead on the way to the nonleague win.
Phillip Buckingham scored 14 points for the Royals (1-11) and Trevor Solether added 10.
Maumee 64, Otsego 61
In Tontogany, Maumee scored 44 points in the second half to rally past Otsego in a nonleague game.
Mitchell Kontak scored 18 points for the Panthers (3-9). Maumee was 9-of-20 on 3-pointers.
Jalen Myers (25) and Schyler Scherff (21) combined for 46 points for the Knights, 5-7 overall.
Genoa 82, Northwood 20
In Genoa, the host Comets improved to 6-5 overall with the nonleague win over Northwood.
Luke Rightnowar scored 23 points for Genoa.
Dylan Cathers scored six points for Northwood, 0-10.
Lakota 51, Danbury 45
In Kansas, Colin Timmons and Josh Kirkpatrick each scored 17 points to lead Lakota to the nonleague win.

The Raiders are 5-9 overall.

Hannah Williford netted 14 points for the Bobcats in a nonleague loss to the Panthers.

Delta 47, Otsego 45
In Tontogany, Delta slipped past Otsego in a nonleague game. The Knights are 5-8 overall.
Morgan Smoyer scored 14 points for the Knights while Abby Hesselschwardt added 11 and Madeline Asmus
contributed 10.
Arcadia 52, North Baltimore 32
In North Baltimore, Arcadia improved to 10-3 with the nonleague win.
Olivia Frost scored 15 points and had four rebounds for NB (6-9).
