Prep Roundup: Eastwood girls soccer beat Rossford

Eastwood defeated Rossford, 4-1 on Saturday in a non-league girls soccer match.
Sarah Johnson, Kate Nicely, Riki Rossman, and Brooke Long scored goals for Eastwood and Nicely added two

Brie Rapp and Marlea Vongphachanh also had assists.
Kristin Martin was in goal for Eastwood.
Wauseon 5, Northwood 4
At Wauseon, the Indians came back from a two-goal deficit for the non-league win.
Kayla Kurth scored twice for Northwood and Becka Avery and Jessica Grindle each scored once. Searra
Lindhurst and Kurth each had one assist.
Megan Hess made eight saves and Maddie Vickers made two for the Rangers.
Lake 7, Cardinal Stritch 0
At Millbury, Lake cruised to the non-league victory. The Flyers are 13-1 overall.
Drew Plummer scored twice for Lake.
Other goal-scorers were: Kristen Lehman, Jessica Abbey, Alyssa Shaffer, Shelby Antonacci, and Tara
Preble. Antonacci added two assists.
Abbey made one save.
BOYS SOCCER
BGHS 7, Cardinal Stritch 1
Xavier Brown scored two goals to help Bowling Green improve to 7-4-4 overall with the non-league win.
Max Beattie added a goal and an assist while Austin Neifer, Michael DeVries, Jared Gill and Brandon
Carrick also scored for the Bobcats. Seth Edwards and Matt Zirkes added assists.
Will Hess made four saves in the first half and James Fite played in goal in the second half.
VOLLEYBALL
Elmwood loses twice
At the Leipsic Invitational, Delphos Jefferson beat Elmwood, 25-16, 25-8 and Leipsic beat the Royals,
25-16, 25-16. Elmwood is 7-13 overall.
Elmwood’s leaders against Jefferson were: Amanda Peters, eight kills, two blocks; Lee Ann Irwin, eight
assists, two blocks, 12 digs; Sam Pollard, 12 digs; and Kylie Snowden, six digs.
Elmwood’s leaders against Leipsic were: Brittany George, 10 digs, two aces, two kills; Irwin, 12 assists,
11 digs, two blocks, two kills; Pollard, two aces, six digs; and Snowden, seven digs.
