Haskins Town & Country
The annual July summer/picnic meeting of the Haskins Town & Country Garden Club was hosted this
week by Karen Dauer.
In attendance were: Karen Dauer, Dorothy Cromley, Gloria Green, Danilda Lee, Cathy Nelson, Carole Rives,
and Patsy Vogelsong.
After lunch the meeting included Nelson working with everyone filing spots to work at the Garden Club
tables for the upcoming Wood County Fair.
Cromley showed pictures of a new plant that is she has in her flower garden collection. Members found it
to be beautiful.
Vogelsong read an article about "Changing Times" in Garden Clubs in the past 50-plus years. A
lot of time was then spent on discussion and evaluation of ideas for the upcoming club’s planning
meeting to be held Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. at Panera in downtown Bowling Green.
Four Seasons
Thirteen members attended the July 7 meeting of the Four Seasons Garden Club at the Pemberville library.

Members listened to Sue Biddle from the Petal Pushers give a presentation on different gardening
attitudes.
The treasurer reported that the Country Village Flower club donated money to this club after that club
disbanded.
It was voted to share this with the Petal Pushers.
Members discussed the upcoming Pemberville Flower Show on Aug. 13 at the Pemberville Free Fair.
