Sassafras tea focus of June’s ag breakfast

HASKINS – "Keeping the sassafras tradition alive" will be the topic of the June Northwest Ohio
Ag-Business Breakfast Forum.
Jeff Nordhaus, owner, H & K Products, Inc., will speak on preserving a long-standing tea
tradition at the monthly event on June 19. Networking starts at 8 a.m., and the forum begins at 8:30
a.m. at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation, 13737 Middleton Pike (Ohio 582) east of Haskins.
H & K Products, located in Columbus Grove, is a third generation family business that brews their
famous sassafras, green, raspberry and peach liquid concentrates.
Since 1962, Pappy’s Sassafras Tea remains the only true sassafras tea product in the world. It is brewed
straight from sassafras root bark and is touted as having a strong health component.
Walk-ins are welcome, but guests are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance. The cost is $10 per person
and includes an all-you-can-eat breakfast.
