Arbor sets meeting for Sat.
Portage Center Arbor #524 will be having its monthly meeting on Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church, on
corner of Cloverdale Road and Linwood Road.
The group will be having its Pancake and Sausage Supper starting at 6 p.m. Pancake and meat will be
furnished. Those attending should bring their own table services, drink, and a dessert dish to pass.
After eating, there will be a short business meeting to plan out activities. Members and guests are
invited to bring a friend and "join in on the fun."
Soybean Webinar Feb. 11
The public is invited to a free webinar hosted by Ohio State University Extension focusing on soybean
production from 7- 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11.
Topics are:
• "Everything but the Kitchen Sink: High Input Soybean Production," by Dr. Laura Lindsey, OSU
Extension Specialist.
• "Updates on Fungicides and Resistance, Soybean Cyst Nematode and Seed Treatments," by Dr.
Anne Dorrance, OSU Extension Specialist.

Ohio Young Farmers to hold its state conference
FRAZEYSBURG – The Ohio Young Farmers, Inc. will hold its 66th annual stateconference on March 8. This
year’s conference will be a one-day event featuring educational tours in the Wayne County area.
Dave Hohman of the Mohawk Young Farmers chapter will preside over the conference.
