Parenting class at Montessori

The Montessori School of Bowling Green is offering a parent education course that is
open to the public. The six-week course runs tonight through March 29.The Parent
Talk System is a style of communicating with children that creates emotionally
healthy family relationships. It is a skill-based program that teaches parents a
series of verbal skills and language patterns to help them achieve their desired
objective of raising responsible, respectful children while reducing
conflict.The Parent Talk System is a nationally-based course designed by Dr.
Thomas Haller and Chick Moorman, who specialize in child development, student
motivation, and family dynamics. It is for all ages.The classes will be taught
by Sue DiBiasio, educational consultant. She has two American Montessori Society
teaching credentials, has taught in several AMS teacher training programs and
has served as a regional consultant for AMS. She has 30 years of teaching
experience.The cost for the class is $35 per person or $50 per couple.
