TONTOGANY – The Otsego School Board chose new officers this month.
Member Brad Anderson was unanimously elected as president at the Jan. 9 organizational meeting.
Anderson was the lone nominee for the post; he was nominated by Mark Tolles, who served as president for
the previous four years.
Judy Snyder was elected as board vice president. She, Anderson, and Tolles were also sworn in at the
meeting, as they were elected this fall to new terms on the board. They were the lone candidates for the
seats.
The board additionally voted that meetings will remain on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in
the Otsego High School library.
Immediately following the organizational meeting, the board met briefly for its first regular meeting of
the year. Only two items of business were tackled: first, the board gave its final assent for the
district’s tax budget, which had to be approved by Jan. 20; and then scheduled a special meeting of the
board to meet Jan. 28 at 6 p.m.
The remainder of the business was tabled until that time.
