June events set at Owens

Owens Community College’s two campuses will host the following community events in June:
Owens Community College Open Houses
Area residents are invited to learn about and explore the many educational programs, services and
resources available at Owens Community College as the academic institution hosts an open house Monday,
noon to 6 p.m. The event will take place in the Audio Visual Classroom Center on the Perrysburg Township
campus, 30335 Oregon Road.

The Findlay campus will host an open house Wednesday 4 to 6 p.m. The event will take place in the
Education Center Atrium on the Findlay campus, 3200 Bright Road.

College Safety 101 Seminar
The college will host a two-hour workshop to help prepare incoming college freshman to be victors – not
victims – at the Center for Emergency Prepared-ness, 30150 Tracy Road. Participants will receive
information about staying safe on and near campus and how to handle peer pressure. The workshop includes
an hour of hands-on, self-defense instruction and will be offered June 24, 6 to 8 p.m. Participants
should wear comfortable clothing.
