Elmwood’s Kristen Curtis is student of the month

Elmwood High School
Justin Krouse was named January Student of the Month at Elmwood High School, and Kristen Curtis received
the honor in February.
Krouse is the son of Nancy Krouse, Van Buren, and Lance Krouse, Bloomdale.
He has played football and competed in track and field for four years, and has participated in basketball
and wrestling.
He is a 4.0 gpa student and was named top student in chemistry, American history, civil engineering and
architecture.
He is a member of National Honor Society, student council, FCA and works at Tents-N-Stuff.
He is a member of Salem United Methodist Church and participates in the youth group and pastor parish
committee.
He plans to play football in college and study mechanical engineering.
Curtis is the daughter of Mark and Ginger Curtis, Bloomdale.
She is captain of the basketball team, and has earned district, all-Wood County, NBC and Northwest Ohio
team awards. She also is captain of the cross country team.
She participates in student council and prom committee, and is a member of Country Guys and Gals 4-H club
and Wayne Church of Christ.
She is a Portage Little League umpire and volunteers at the Geary Family YMCA in Fostoria.
She plans to study biology in college.
