Greenwood Chapter OES
Several members met at Easy Street Café for dinner prior to the July 1 meeting.
Theme information for the evening was on Hawaii, our Aloha state. Worthy Matron, Robyn Moellenberg, said
Aloha can mean hello or goodbye, love or affection. The spirit of Aloha helps to create positive
feelings and thoughts and to treat all people with care and respect.
Additional information was given on Hawaii’s counties, the USS Arizona Memorial, Kona coffee,
unification, Iolani Palace, Mauna Kea, native plants and trees.
A brief memorial was held for Helen Welsh, a 99-year-old member who passed away in May.
The Moonlighters Club planned to meet at the Moellenberg home on July 15 for a cookout.
We have an opportunity to join with another group for a July 19 Mud Hens game. Contact the Moellenbergs
immediately at (419)352-1007 if you are interested.
The annual Masonic picnic will be held at the Masonic Shelter House in city park on Aug. 23. Yard games

Several members gathered at Denise Conrad’s home in Woodville to put labels on her water bottles that she
was giving away at the auxiliary department convention July 10-13.
Denise was elected second vice president of the women’s auxiliary for the state of Ohio.

brought home many awards also.
Members that went to convention were Denise Conrad, Gwen Schroeder-Zulch, Mary Busdeker, Marti Zeek,
