A fundraiser is being planned June 21 in Bowling Green to honor Tracey Koepfler and MaKayla Hafling.
Koepfler and her daughter MaKayla, 14, are originally from this area but were recently living in South
Carolina.
On May 3, Koepfler and her daughter were attacked in their home.
Unfortunately, Koepfler did not survive the attack.
The fundraiser begins at 1 p.m. at Quarter’s Bar and Grill at Woodland Mall. A number of raffles are
planned, for a handgun, a rifle and 50/50.
The money raised will help the family with the unexpected medical expenses and funeral costs. MaKayla is
beginning a new life in this area but is not only left without her mother, but because her home was set
afire just after the attacks, she is left with very little.
There are numerous ways to help:
• Donation of money directly to the Trust Fund for MaKayla Hafling at any Fifth/Third Bank location.
• Donation of items or gift cards for silent auction during the benefit.
• Volunteer your time at the fundraiser.
