Seven chapter members met Oct. 8 at Bowling Green Country Club for lunch.President Colleen
Smith led the business meeting that followed.Linda Harden read City Council minutes and passed around
the roster for each member to check the spelling and other information available. A discussion regarding
Beta Sigma Phi city council by-laws followed.Marilyn Pahl reminded the members about Exemplar Night, to
be held Oct. 24 at Klotz Greenhouse. The chapter members have been assigned duties. Members are to
arrive by 4:30 p.m. to prepare the room for the guests. Nancy Germann hopes to have a count of those
planning to attend by early next week. Each member will provide a dessert. Alpha Zeta Chapter expects a
nice crowd.Pahl announced the plans for the Dec. 6 Christmas party at the country club. Dinner will be
served at 6 p.m. Reservations are needed by the Nov. 26 meeting.The members have brought items requested
by First Step. Pahl will see that they are delivered to First Step shortly.Smith read an article from
Little Ways to Say I Love You. A short discussion followed.The next business meeting is Oct. 22 to
finalize plans for Exemplar Night.
