CARSON, Calif. — Bowling Green’s Jerry ‘BooBoo’ Gates has been selected to play in the NFLPA Collegiate
Bowl. The game is Jan. 18 at the StubHub Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez
Hills
A safety and kick returner, Gates is playing for the American team.
Gates finished this season with 81 total tackles, including 45 solos, and two interceptions. He returned
a fumble 11-yards for a touchdown against Miami.
He returned 10 kickoffs for 306 yards, including a 94-yard return for a touchdown in the Little Caesars
Bowl.
