Comic Iglesias at BGSU
Comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias will present his mix of storytelling, parodies, characters
and sound effects in a show Sunday at 6 p.m. at BGSU’s Stroh CenterTickets for the Tickets for the
general public are $15 at the Stroh Center Box Office.
BG church host horn recital
Andrew Pelletier will present a French horn recital Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian
Church of Bowling Green as part of the Saturdays at the Church on Church Street series.
Pelletier is a professor of horn at the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University.
Way Library to screen ‘Captain Phillips’ twice
PERRYSBURG – Way Library to present two showings of Academy Award-nominated film "Captain
Phillips" on Tuesday as part of its Show Me the Movie series.
The 2013 release starring Tom Hanks as the title character will be shown 2 and 6:30 p.m. The film is
based on the true story of an American cargo ship hijacked by Somali pirates.
Toledo Rep staging ‘The Glass Menagerie"
TOLEDO – The Toledo Repertoire Theatre will present Tennessee Williams’ classic drama "The Glass
Menagerie," April 4-6 and 10-13 on the 10th Street stage.
Directed by Jeffrey J. Albright, the cast includes Kate Abu-Absi, James MacFarlane, Elizabeth Cottle,
Tanner DuVall and Jim O’Conner.
Showtimes are on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
Measure for Measure chorus to sing in Rosary Cathedral
TOLEDO – Measure for Measure, a men’s chorus from Ann Arbor, Mich., will perform Sunday at 3 p.m. at
Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd.
Founded in 1989, the 90-member chorus is directed by Steven Lorenz and chorus members hail from
throughout Southeast Michigan. The repertoire of the group incorporates music from a variety of styles
and periods.
There’s a suggested freewill donation of $10.
Electronic duo at Robinwood
TOLEDO – Electronics will be the focal point of a show April 3 at 9 p.m. by Tom Hamilton and Al Margolis
at the Robinwood Concert House, 2564 Robinwood Donations accepted.
Crushed Out at Village Idiot
MAUMEE – The Brooklyn-based alternative rock duo Crushed Out, described as an electrified honky-tonk surf
duo, will perform at The Village Idiot April 4 at 9 p.m.
Glass artist cancels visit, but show of his work goes on
TOLEDO – Famed glass artist Lino Tagliapietra canceled his visit to the Toledo Museum of Art Glass
Pavilion.
The master Venetian glass blower was scheduled to be working this week at the Glass Pavilion including
attending the opening of an exhibition of his work on Friday and demonstrating his craft Saturday.
The exhibit "Venetian Glass Birds: Lino Tagliapietra" will continue as planned in Gallery 2
inthe Glass Pavilion.
