screening of "Five Minutes to Live" (1961), directed by Bill Karn. Johnny Cash plays a psychotic
kidnapper who holds a woman hostage while negotiating with her husband, a bank vice president. The film
begins at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall.WEDNESDAYBassoonist Susan Nelson on bassoon, assisted
by pianist Solunnga Fang-Tzu- Liu andoboist Lynne Marie Manganwill present a faculty recital at 8 p.m. in
Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The program will feature the world premiere of "En
Los Bosques" by Kyle Hovatter for bassoon and recorded tracks. The program will also include: "Le
Grand Tango"by Astor Piazzolla; "Portuguesa" by Paul-Henri B?ºsser’Trio #2 for Oboe, Bassoon
and Piano by Bill Douglas; "Dual Identity" by Gernot Wolfgang; and "Sonatine-Tango" by
Pierre Max Dubois.THURSDAYMaster of Fine Arts in Writing students Casey Nichols and Gabrielle Hovendon will
read from their work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.FRIDAYThe North American Saxophone Alliance Regional
Conference hosted by John Sampen and the Bowling Green State University Saxophone Studio will begin with
registration at 5 p.m. and continue with a concert at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center. The concert features Donald Sinta Quartet, the BGSU Saxophone Ensemble, University of Illinois
Saxophone Ensemble and Central Michigan University Saxophone Ensemble. Conference continues through Sunday.
