I-280 crash injures four

NORTHWOOD – Four people were injured in a Monday crash at Interstate 280, just north of Woodville
Road.Northwood Police report that at 4:23 p.m., three vehicles, driven by Michael Sherman, Tiffin; Steve
Ruch, Millbury; and Kylie Hoffman, Millbury, were southbound on I-280. There was a lane closure in the area,
and traffic was moving to the right southbound lane.An unknown van was on the shoulder, and then cut into
traffic.Hoffman tried to slow down for traffic, but was unable to do so and struck Sherman’s vehicle.
Sherman was pushed off to the left side and then Hoffman continued on to strike Ruch’s vehicle.Sherman and
his passenger, Tracey Reidling, Tiffin, were taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital by Northwood EMS. Ruch was
taken by Northwood to Bay Park Hospital; Hoffman was taken by Northwood to Mercy St. Vincent Medical
Center.All sustained non-incapacitating injuries.Two passengers in Hoffman’s vehicle were uninjured.Hoffman
was cited for reasonable control.
