Elmwood 16, Woodmore 10
ELMORE — Elmwood racked up 22 hits as its offense outhit Woodmore for a 16-10 Northern Buckeye Conference win on Saturday.
Haley Zimmerman singled three times and had a game-high four RBIs to lead the Royals. Jill Hannah doubled twice and added a single with an RBI.
Chy Cluck and Kayla Minich both added three hits with two RBIs apiece. Five other Elmwood players had at least two hits, including Madison Hoiles’ two singles and two RBIs.
Eastwood 10, Rossford 0
PEMBERVILLE — Eastwood piled on nine runs in the second inning to stop Rossford for the consecutive day with a 10-0 Northern Buckeye Conference win on Saturday.
The Eagles, who beat Rossford 20-0 in their tournament opener on Friday, improved to 23-1 overall and 12-0 in the NBC.
Jaylee Souder drove in a pair of runs to lead Eastwood, which scored 10 runs on just six hits.
Ashley Hitchcock fanned 12 batters and allowed just one hit to earn the complete-game win for the Eagles.
Val Swope, who had the Bulldogs’ (9-11, 0-7) lone hit on Friday, has their only hit again on Saturday.
Perrysburg 10, Margaretta 4
PERRYSBURG — Reyann Kruger and Mars Deemer powered an explosive offense on Saturday as Perrysburg rolled past Margaretta 10-4 in nonleague play.
Kruger paced the Yellow Jackets (13-6) with four hits, while Deemer drove in a game-high four runs. Deemer also tossed six innings with four strikeouts.
Eastwood 3, Woodmore 1
ELMORE — Eastwood responded to Woodmore’s second inning with a two-run third inning and held on for a 3-1 Northern Buckeye Conference win on Saturday.
Justin Pickerel and Jared McNulty both had a pair of hits for the Eagles (10-9, 4-6 NBC), while Pickerel had two RBIs. Pickerel also tossed all seven innings with four strikeouts for the win.
DJ Melter had two hits to lead Woodmore.
Bowling Green 17, Maumee 2
MAUMEE — Bowling Green scored at least two runs in all five innings on Saturday in rolling to a 17-2 Northern Lakes League win over Maumee.
Kyle Jackson led all players with three hits and two RBIs for the Bobcats (19-4, 10-3 NLL). Micah Fry and Bryce Hoehner also knocked in a pair of runs apiece.
BG scored five runs in both the third and fifth innings.
Bowling Green 235~25~17~14~0
Rossford 7, Lakota 0
ROSSFORD — Rossford scored in six of seven innings as it shut out Lakota 7-0 in Saturday’s nonleague game.
Shane Pitzen had two hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Bulldogs (11-11). Cam Reynolds and Logan Reiter both walked twice.
