PEMBERVILLE — Eastwood trailed for only 2 minutes and 30 seconds Saturday afternoon on the way to beating visiting Anthony Wayne 49-38 in non-conference action.

PERRYSBURG — Anthony Wayne did everything it needed to do to escape with a road victory Friday night. The Generals made every critical shot, keeping with Perrysburg until the final minute, before taking the advantage and coming out on top 40-36.

ROSSFORD — The Rossford High School boys basketball team showed why they are one of the premiere teams in Northwest Ohio Monday night.

The Bowling Green High School hockey team fell to Northview High School 5-0 Monday afternoon at Slater Family Ice Arena.

Leading most of the game but never able to pull away, Bowling Green boys basketball was able to hold off and defeat Springfield 51-46 Saturday night.

Eastwood beat Lake 60-45 on Saturday to improve to 10-4 overall and 7-3 in conference. Aubrey Haas led the way with 22 points. Kaitlyn Luidhardt added 12 points.

MILLBURY — After trying to mount a fourth quarter comeback, Elmwood girls basketball would fall just short on Thursday night, dropping their first game of the season to Lake 43-39.

The Bowling Green High School hockey team fell 5-1 to Amherst High School on Sunday at Slater Family Ice Arena.

ROSSFORD — In the final of the Rossford Holiday Basketball Tournament, the Bulldogs were able to overcome Clyde to take the title on Wednesday night 58-38.

Otsego left Bowling Green with a win Tuesday night, defeating the Bobcats 42-41. The Knights won thanks in part to the late-game heroics of Ryan Gray, whose layup with 13 seconds left in regulation proved the final bucket of the evening.

The Bowling Green High School boys’ ice hockey team fell 3-0 to Talawanda High School Monday night at Slater Family Ice Arena.

TONTOGANY — Otsego held onto a league win Tuesday night, defeating Northern Buckeye Conference foe Genoa, 42-39. The Knights improve to 3-1 in conference play, and 3-2 overall.

PEMBERVILLE - Eastwood came up clutch Friday night, winning 31-29. The Eagles’ Jacob Meyer hit a free throw with 7.8 seconds remaining to lift his team over visiting Genoa.

BLOOMDALE – Only a junior, Elmwood’s Brooklyn Thrash has already scored over 1,000 points in her high school basketball career.

Eastwood girls basketball moved to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the NBC with a 76-24 win over Rossford on Tuesday night.

The two undefeated teams in the NBC met on Saturday night as Elmwood defeated Lake 62-48 to move to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the NBC.

Eastwood girls basketball defeated Genoa on senior night 57-29 thanks to a commanding third quarter run.

PERRYSBURG — Since middle school, Cade Zimmerly knew that he wanted to play football at the Division I college level. With the announcement that he would be attending Bowling Green State University next fall, he will be able to fulfil that dream.
