PEMBERVILLE — With the Pemberville Free Fair in full swing for its 75th anniversary, the word on the street is it’s the people you meet that make it great, but the food, rides and entertainment sure help.

“I just look around to see if there’s anyone I know, from when I used to live here,” John Cook said. The Woodville resident has been coming to the fair since the early 1970s and brought his girlfriend this time. “I think the town looks forward to this. It’s probably gotten a little bigger. There’s more rides than there used to be, and you’ve got the two main food places.”
