Police officers from across Northwest Ohio and a K-9 were honored Friday for stopping a high-speed chase last month involving a vehicle with an infant inside.

Ohio Rep. Haraz Ghanbari, R-Perrysburg, joined Ohio Treasurer of State Robert Sprague Friday to honor 17 law enforcement officers and dispatchers for their valor during a recent high-speed chase in Northwest Ohio, which concluded with the rescue of an infant who was in the stolen vehicle. Ghanbari also recognized Toledo Police K-9 Officer Zola, a 6-year Shepard-Malinois.
