BG holiday parade

File. Santa Claus waves just south of Main Street and Wooster Street in Bowling Green during the annual Holiday Parade.

Polar Express: Next Stop Bowling Green is the theme for the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade.

The parade will step off Nov. 23 at 9:50 a.m.

The grand marshal will be Mayor Richard Edwards.

The organizers of Firefly Nights, Laura Wicks of Grounds for Thought, Gayle Walterbach of Coyote Beads, Stacie Banfield of Mode Elle Boutique and Katie Thompson of Eden Fashion Boutique, all women business owners, will be honorary grand marshals.

WTOL-TV will broadcast the parade live in a two-hour commercial-free production.

This parade is a way for the chamber to celebrate accomplishments of businesses, individuals and organizations of the entire community.

Unit registration and sponsorship forms are now available at the chamber office or on the website at www.bgchamber.net.

The deadline to register units for the parade is 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. Registration is $25 and $15 for non-profits, with the fees supporting the expenses incurred in the production of the parade.

Sponsorships or donations are also being accepted. This support will be recognized as outlined on the forms which can be downloaded from www.bgchamber.net. Completed forms should be returned to the chamber at 130 S. Main St. Sponsorship forms must be received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 5.

The 2019 Annual Bowling Green Community Holiday Parade is presented by the City of Bowling Green, the chamber of commerce, Bowling Green State University, BG Convention and Visitors Bureau and Downtown BG.
