Local volunteer Tim Dunn, Bowling Green, will be recognized for hours of service to the community on Saturday.
Local Modern Woodmen of America members will honor Dunn as a hometown hero at Carter Park, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Dunn will be recognized through Modern Woodmen's Hometown Hero Program for his dedication to the youth of Bowling Green through his longtime involvement as the president of BG Pee Wee Baseball.
As part of the Hometown Hero Program, members of the Modern Woodmen Bowling Green chapter will present Dunn with a certificate and a $100 award grant to be donated to the charitable organization of his choice. Dunn has chosen BG Pee Wee Baseball to receive the donation.
"The Hometown Hero Program allows us to thank those who give back to the community while encouraging others to volunteer," D.J. Deiter, local Modern Woodmen volunteer leader, said in a news release.
