Two Bowling Green State University football players have been arrested on forgery charges. The cases of Malik Brown and Brian Jennings II, both 22 and with Bowling Green addresses, are pending through Bowling Green Municipal Court.
According to a statement from Jason Knavel, assistant athletic director for athletic communications at BGSU, "As we learn more, we will make a decision on the status of each within our program."
According to online court records, the pair was arrested Friday. A Bowling Green police report on the incident was not available at press time. A preliminary hearing in their cases is scheduled for Monday.
Brown, a defensive lineman played in 11 games in 2016. Jennings, a running back, played in one game in 2016.
