COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio’s four casinos brought in a total of over $66 million in August, down from nearly $71 million in the same month last year.
The latest revenue report released Tuesday by the Ohio Casino Control Commission also showed total revenue for the four casinos last month was down from over $69 million in July.
Revenue decreased from July to August of this year for the Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo casinos, but increased slightly at the Cincinnati casino.
Total revenue for the four casinos so far this year is about $545 million.
About one-third of the revenue is collected in taxes and given mostly to counties, school districts and host cities.
