NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING LEVYING AN ADDITIONAL $5 MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE TAX The Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 4504.24, authorizes a board of county commissioners to adopt a resolution levying an additional motor vehicle license tax upon the operation of motor vehicles on the public roads and highways in the county. Prior to the adoption of any resolution authorizing the county to levy an additional motor vehicle license tax, the county shall conduct two public hearings per ORC 4504.24(B) and provide notice of the date, time, and place of both hearings by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the county, once a week on the same day of the week for two consecutive weeks. The Board of County Commissioners of Wood County, Ohio, have fixed Thursday, May 10th at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m., as the dates and times when the said Board shall conduct the two required public hearings to receive comments from the general public regarding the proposed additional $5 motor vehicle license tax and that said hearings shall be held in the office of said Board, Fifth Floor of the County Office Building, One Courthouse Square, Bowling Green, Ohio.
