Wrights are 'Hometown Heros' of Grand Rapids

Ray and Nancy Wright

Modern Woodmen of America recognized a Grand Rapids Couple as "Hometown Heros."

Modern Woodmen is a fraternal organization specializing in life insurance and financial planning. Hometown Heros go above and beyond in their daily lives.

Ray and Nancy Wright have been a part of the Grand Rapids community forever. They ran their funeral home business for over 30 years and helped people in the community at their lowest times. They were instrumental in bringing the Lutheran church to Grand Rapids and remain active members at Hosanna.

Ray was a member of Liberty Center Rotary and bank board member of the Mid Am and Sky Bank at Grand Rapids. He was always active in the local musicals held at the town hall and was part of the Hosanna Quartet.

Nancy is involved in the local blood mobile and was a 4-H adviser, teaching cooking and sewing. She was instrumental in starting the senior meals at Hosanna through Wood County Committee on Aging.

On behalf of the couple, Modern Woodmen of America will make a $200 donation to Hosanna Lutheran Church, in their name.
