PERRYSBURG — The school board has hired a search team to find a new treasurer by Sept. 6.
At a special meeting, held Wednesday, the board of education hired Finding Leaders to assist with the search process to hire a Treasurer. The contract is for $8,900.
“First of all, we would like to thank Pam Harrington for all the work she has put in for the district,” board President Ray Pohlman said. “It is a little late in the process, but we are convinced this is the right firm and they will find the right person, who will do a good job and be right for the district. Even though the timeline is a little tight, we want to make sure we do our due diligence and find the right person.”
Harrington was hired by Findlay City Schools as treasurer beginning Aug. 1.
The tentative timeline includes an application due date of July 16 with employment beginning on or before Sept. 6.
“I’m hopeful and encouraged that Finding Leaders will be a good choice to help us find the right fit for Perrysburg Schools. They were extremely attentive to our thoughts and gently helped us hone in on what is needed for our next step,” board member Sue Larimer said.
Harrington will continue to work with Perrysburg during the transition.
