Classes at 577 Foundation are thinking spring and Valentine’s Day

PERRYSBURG — Children’s activities are being offered in at the 577 Foundation at 577 E. Front St.
Pre-registration is required for all classes at www.577foundation.org or 419-874-4174.
• Partners in Fun is an art class for 3 to 4-year-olds with adult.  
The leader is Carol Jambard-Sweet and the limit is 14 per class.  
Classes are Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. The fee is $5 per child.
Next week, make a groundhog and see if he sees his shadow. On Feb. 9, celebrate Valentine’s Day. Make
some fun bugs on Feb. 16.
• The Maybe Family Garden is for children in grades two-five and will be held Feb. 12 from 2-4 p.m. The
fee is $10.
How do you decide what to plant in a garden? We will use the book the “Maybe Garden” to design own garden
plans for this year. Explore the “Maybe Garden” book, enjoy a light snack and create a beautiful garden
plan.
The leader is Patrice Powers-Barker, OSU Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences. Limit: 20.
• Homeschool Pottery is for children ages 8-14 and will be held Feb. 23 from 10 a.m.-noon. The fee is
$20.
Kids will enjoy an exploration of hand-built pottery projects. Make projects using different techniques
such as coils, pinch, slab, or extruded clay techniques. Paint them with colored slips and 577 will
finish pieces with a clear glaze.
The leader is Julie Beutler. Limit: 10.
