BG man arrested for domestic violence

Bowling Green police were dispatched to Bowling Green State University’s Lot F on Sunday.

When officers arrived around 9:27 p.m., they assisted the BGSU police who were out with a male and female, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The Wood County Sherrif’s Office had initially contacted BGSU police after an alert from a cell phone had been received indicating an injury crash had occurred in the area of East Court Street and Thurstin Avenue. BGSU police were then flagged down by the female who owned the cell phone, according to the report.

The male and female were involved in a verbal altercation near the 100 block of East Wooster Street. The female stated that the altercation was with Anthony Holloway Jr., 24, Bowling Green, who allegedly threw a pop can at her, striking her in the chin during the initial argument, according to the report.

The female had bruises all over her body, with multiple red marks. The female told officers that Holloway Jr. previously shove her to the ground and kicked her, according to the report.

The female then explained that Holloway Jr. threw her cell phone out the window of her vehicle near East Court Street and Thurstin Avenue.

Holloway Jr. told officers that he and the female were in a verbal argument earlier that night. He admitted to throwing a pop can in the female’s vehicle but denied hitting her with the can, according to the report.
