Mary Belle (Hines) Heilman, 87, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on September 21, 2024 at Kingston Residence, Perrysburg.
Mary Belle was born May 31, 1937 in McAlester, Oklahoma to the late Edgar Hines and Fern Walton. She married Bob Heilman on January 21, 1955 and celebrated 68 years of marriage before his passing.
Mary Belle grew up and attended school in McAlester, OK before graduating her senior year from Perrysburg High School.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, Ohio. She enjoyed bowling with so many dear friends at The Everglades, Moline Lanes and Timbers. She should have been nicknamed Lady Luck. If there ever was a lucky winner at the Casinos or scratch off lottery tickets, it was Mary Belle. (Her famous hand wave on the slot machines; at Timbers with her bowling ladies; a trip to Meijer’s to buy Pepsi for Bob – grabs a scratch off ticket on the way out and hits big. She had the touch!). We would be remiss, if we didn’t mention, that she was known as the lady with “that beautiful head of hair.”
Mary Belle’s greatest joy in life, was that of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved attending her children and grandchildren’s events. She was the glue that truly held the Heilman family together.
Surviving Mary Belle are daughter, Debbie (Mark) Jones, son, Bobby Heilman; grandchildren, Troy (Kelli) Jones, Todd (Ashley) Jones, Stacy Heilman, Jami (Daryl) Lewis, Ryan Heilman (Brynlee), Clay Heilman (Jamie); great-grandchildren, Julia, Jack, Jacob, Gavin, Gracie, Trent, Zander, Jaxon, Cohen, Colbie, Jade, Huxlee, Hazy and Layla; Aunt Bobbye Andrews of Oklahoma, along with many nieces and nephews.
Mary Belle was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2023, son Jimmy in 2019, parents, brother Charles (Buddy).
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 3-7 pm at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E South Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio.
Her funeral mass will be on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Rose Catholic Church, 217 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or St. Rose Catholic Church.
Mary Belle’s family would like to thank Aimee (Comfort Keepers), the Perrysburg Kingston Residence staff and residents. Your care, compassion, friendship and love shown to her will be cherished forever and never forgotten.
Mary Belle was the sweetest, kindest and most caring woman ever, who’s inner beauty equaled that of her outward beauty. We were so truly blessed that you were our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Thank you for everything you did for each and every one of us.
Mary Belle, your broken heart is now healed and you can finally rest in God, Dad and Jimmy’s arms. A cousin said it best, “can only imagine the grand reunion in heaven.” We will miss you immensely and will cherish your memory forever. Till we meet again one day, dear lady❤️.
