Bowling Green police were dispatched Saturday to the 200 block of North Main Street for a report of a fight.
When officers arrived around 11:59 p.m., they observed two men running away. They lost site of one and pursued a Black male wearing a black ski mask with a white T-shirt and jeans, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
The male failed to obey the officers’ command to stop. Another male was seen in a bush along a chain link fence attempting to hide. The male was detained without incident, according to the report.
When searching the male, officers discovered an open bottle of Hennessy Cognac in his left pocket and an Ohio driver’s license in his right pocket that did not belong to him, according to the report.
Bowling Green Fire Division was then paged out due to the male having difficulty breathing.
Downtown cameras were reviewed and the male was observed to be in a fight with four or more others in front of the 200 block of North Main Street. He refused to identify himself and taken to the Wood County Jail listed as John Doe, according to the report.
The male was later identified as D’Andrae Brown, 21, Fremont. Brown was found to have a warrant for his arrest issued by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.
Brown was arrested for riot-to commit misdemeanor, obstructing official business, open container in public place, prohibited acts, falsification, and failure to disclose information.
