Threat received at BG restaurant

A city restaurant reported a bomb threat Friday.

Bowling Green Police were dispatched at 5:20 p.m. to the 1000 block of South Main Street, where they spoke with the restaurant manager who stated that they received a call from a younger sounding male who stated that he would “bring a bomb” to the restaurant.

The manager did not recognize the voice, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Officers determined that the phone call was from a TextNow phone and attempted to call and message the number with no response.

Officers stood by the restaurant for a bit to wait for the arrival of anyone. No one showed up and the manager was comfortable with officers leaving, according to the report.
