BG woman indicted for escape

A Bowling Green woman is in jail after being indicted for escape and a Northwood man has been accused of extorting nude images from women.

A Wood County grand jury on Aug. 21 indicted Elizabeth Haubert, 31, of Bowling Green and currently in jail, for escape, a third-degree felony.

On Aug. 8, she knowingly broke or attempted to break detention or failed to return following temporary or limited leave.

She was arrested Aug. 22, and a $30,000 bond was set.

She also had been indicted in June for theft and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both fifth-degree felonies. Her next court date is Sept. 5.

John Ray Rogers, 20, Northwood, was indicted for two counts of extortion, both third-degree felonies; and two counts of telecommunications harassment, both first-degree misdemeanors.

On Nov. 27, Rogers allegedly threatened to disseminate fake nude photos of two women that he had made unless they provide him with real nude photos of themselves.

He allegedly did this via telephone.

He was arrested and posted a $15,000 bond.
