HAMLER — A day of praise music, fellowship, fun and food will be offered at the second annual Northwest Ohio Praise Fest scheduled for Saturday, 11 a.m to 3 p.m. at the Hamler Community Park.
The festival is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine thanks to the facilities offered at the Hamler Park.
The festival was initiated last year, created through the leadership of several Christians in the Hamler area who were inspired by their faith to provide an event that would bring together Christians of all denominations for an afternoon of family-friendly fellowship. Their praise fest vision will feature an array of Christian music highlighted by local talent including Latter Rain, Praise 4 Christ, The Way Worship band, Joshua Silas, Camryn Escamilla, Armour of God, Brecken & Braylen Wissolik and Todd Harris.
The day will finish with the praise band Not Ourselves, which is led by Northwest Ohio Praise Fest founder Jim Hoops and his family. The day will also include local children who will be sharing their VBS praise and worship songs.
In addition to an afternoon of music, the festival will also feature grilled sandwiches and other numerous concessions. Child-friendly activities will be available with activities and bounce houses. Several area service organizations will have booths at the praise fest offering information to the public about their services.
Seating for attendees will be provided in the covered pavilion area, but families are welcome to bring along their own lawn chairs if they wish.
