St. Ursula Academy bestows honors on BG students

TOLEDO — St. Ursula Academy presented prestigious awards to two Bowling Green residents at its commencement ceremony on May 21 at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Peristyle theater.

Administrators presented the Mary Ann Guggar Award to Ellen Eberly, daughter of Jeff and Megan Eberly.

The award goes to the senior who gave generous amounts of time to her school and embraced school spirit. Eberly was also a member of the school’s lacrosse team and Ambassador Society.

She will attend Ohio University in the fall.

Julia Reichert, daughter of Joseph and Judy Reichert, earned summa cum laude honors. The summa cum laude level indicates a grade point average of 4.4 or higher and is the highest academic award given to graduates.

Reichert was a member of the Ambassador Society, the basketball team, and the cross-country team.

She will attend Ohio State University in the fall.

St. Ursula Academy, founded in 1854, is Toledo’s oldest, fully accredited, all-female, Catholic college preparatory school serving grades six through 12.
