Gary Kenneth Evans, 84, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away June 4, 2023. He was born April 29, 1939 in Bowling Green to the late Harold and Goldie (Loomis) Evans. He married Virginia “Sue” Leimgruber on November 22, 1961 and she preceded him in death April 29, 2003.
Gary worked as an art teacher for Bowling Green City Schools for 34 years. He was a proud member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and going out to eat. He was a dog lover and was known to collect a wide variety of things including driftwood, decoy ducks and pocket watches.
He is survived by his son Eric (Jennifer) Evans of Grand Rapids, Ohio, daughter Jennifer Evans of Seneca, South Carolina and grandchildren McClelland Evans, Conor Evans and Walker Evans.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and son Kevin Kenneth Evans.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday June 8, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Visitation will be held Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m.
