Ardella Mae Rolf, 96, of Pemberville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green, Ohio. Ardella was born on October 1,1926 to Charles and Helen Friesner in Toledo, Ohio. On March 27,1944, Ardella married her high school sweetheart, Paul F. Rolf, Sr, of Pemberville, Ohio, with whom she enjoyed over 51 years of marriage before his death in 1995.

During her life, Ardella was a highly active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville, Ohio, where she was involved in many organizations and taught bible study classes to both young and adults. When Ardella’s husband Paul was alive, they thoroughly enjoyed attending Polka festivals together with many friends. Ardella’s favorite activity was attending numerous get-togethers with her fun-loving family.

Ardella is survived by her four children. Paul (Linda) Rolf, Jr., Mary (Ron) Andrews, Sandra Chamberlain, and Helen (Kim) Kirkendall, and eleven grandchildren, Lori (Joel) Fuerst, Chris (Gary) Gaynor, Chip (Deb) Rolf, Dave (Amy) Andrews, Andy (Miranda) Chamberlain, Gary (Tanya) Chamberlain, Joe (Amy) Kirkendall, Jill Westhoven, Ryan (Renee) Chamberlain, Jeff (Lori) Kirkendall, and Carrie (Zach) Hoffman, in addition, she was a loving great-grandma (Grandma Della) to her 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Paul, Ardella was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles “Bud” Friesner, and son-in-law Jerry Chamberlain.

Family and friends will be received from 10 – 11 am on Saturday, June 10, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 220 Cedar Street, Pemberville, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at the church at 11 am. Pastor Timothy Philabaum will officiate. Interment will be at Fish Cemetery where Ardella will be laid to rest next to her husband in a family committal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bridge Hospice, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
