Bowling Green police terminated the pursuit of a motorcycle after the driver hit speeds in excess of 100 mph.

On Saturday at approximately 11:30 p.m., a Bowling Green police officer was at the stop sign on Clough Street and Manville Avenue and heard a motorcycle rapidly accelerate.

The officer observed a motorcycle on Manville Avenue near Sixth Street traveling southbound at a high rate of speed, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The motorcycle turned westbound onto Napoleon Road and then stopped behind a car at the light at South Main Street.

The officer pulled up behind the motorcycle and saw that there was no license plate on it.

When the light turned green, the car went into the left lane on South Main while the motorcycle went into the right lane and began accelerating rapidly.

The officer activated the cruiser’s emergency lights and siren and the motorcycle continued to accelerate and flee.

The motorcycle got onto U.S. 6 westbound, going to the left of three vehicles at the overpass.

The motorcycle continued at over 115 mph before slowing down to turn left onto Sand Ridge Road.

At the time, the pursuit was terminated.
