Elnora Mae Vollmar, 93, passed away Sunday May 14, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1930 to Verne and Frances (Thomas) Wittes. She married Lyle Vollmar on December 19, 1952 who preceded her in death on February 7, 2005.
Elnora was a member of the Jolly Jokers where she would get together with friends, plan activities and play games. She enjoyed playing bunco, horse and pepper, and doing word searches, bird watching and reading the Sentinel Tribune. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her children Mike (Patti) Vollmar of Lima, Ohio; Joyce Donaldson of Bowling Green, Ohio and Julie (Jeff) Thomas of Whitehouse, Ohio and her grandchildren Sarah (Bob) Lyons, Nathan (Carrie) Donaldson, Christopher Donaldson, Jillian (Brett) Green, Joseph Thomas and Johnathan Thomas and great-grandchildren Robby Lyons, Jacob Lyons, Zayne Lyons, Gracie Mae Lyons, Evelyn Green and Henry Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents Verne and Frances, husband Lyle, brother Wayne Wittes and son-in-law John Donaldson.
Visitation for Elnora will be held on Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio 43565. Her funeral service will be held Thursday May 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Tontogany Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
